Independently owned and operated, Minster Cycles offers a huge range of high quality products and services

At Minster Cycles, we've been serving customers from across the region and beyond since 1992, when local Mountain Biking enthusiast and founder Peter Goldthorpe opened a small shop near Beverley Minster.

Starting out on his own selling a small range of mountain bikes, Peter quickly began growing and developing the shop, taking on new staff members, and branching out into other areas of cycling.

As the cycling industry changed, and more and more men and women began taking up cycling as a hobby, for commuting and for fitness, Minster Cycles flourished, diversifying into both road and hybrid bikes.

By 2011, the business had completely outgrown the shop by the Minster, and the current showroom was opened on Norwood. At over 3000sq/ft, it is 5 times larger than the original shop, and includes dedicated facilities for both fitting and servicing.

In 2012, as part of it's continued expansion, Minster Cycles invested in an additional shop, Rob Winstanley Cycles on Anlaby Road in Hull, which now offers the same range of high quality bikes and services as the flagship Beverley store.

Whilst the world of cycling and Minster Cycles have moved on a lot since 1992, some things haven't changed at all. Today, Minster Cycles is still independently owned and managed by Peter, and we're still absolutely committed to providing the best bikes and service possible to customers from across the region and beyond.
