The Cervelo R5 Force AXS 2026 is built for the world’s most demanding climbs, rapid accelerations, and thrilling mountain descents. Weighing just 5.97kg in a size 56 build, this race-ready road bike combines ultra-lightweight engineering with stiffness and precision handling, making it one of the most capable climbing bikes on the market.
The new R5 frame weighs only 651 grams, paired with a 298-gram fork, delivering a combined weight reduction of 100g compared to its predecessor. Every component has been optimised, saving an additional 326 grams across the bike. The updated fit geometry now mirrors Cervelo’s aero flagship, the S5, ensuring riders benefit from a powerful position whether racing, climbing, or tackling fast group rides.
The redesigned HB18 carbon bar/stem saves nearly 150 grams and improves aerodynamics by 2 watts, drawing directly from Cervelo’s S5 development. A new Reserve 34 | 37 SL wheelset sheds another 60 grams while maintaining strength and stiffness for reliable performance on punishing gradients. SRAM’s Force AXS 12-speed groupset, complete with integrated power meter, delivers precision shifting and consistent performance in all conditions.
This is the bike that thrives on the brutal ascents of the Tour de France and the steep, relentless climbs of the Vuelta a España, while offering confident, predictable handling on technical descents.
