The Cervelo Caledonia-5 is built to handle long-distance, high-speed racing, with fit and handling geared toward comfort without sacrificing the Cervelo race bike feeling.
On the fringes of cycling and triathlon, there are athletes pushing their bodies and equipment to the limit with ultra-distance, ultra-fast rides. These athletes reach for the Caledonia-5. Since the introduction of the Caledonia in 2020, athletes around the world have been exploring just how big and how challenging those rides can be.
For the new Caledonia-5, Cervelo focused on improvements that would be meaningful for the people pushing it to its limits. The biggest thing you will notice is the addition of the in-frame storage first seen on P-Series. This is designed to fit a small multi-tool, tube, and a CO2 canister. Cervelo also looked to comfort: The seat stays are dropped, similar to Aspero, which makes that rear triangle more acute and more vertically flexible. At the same time, there is a bit more downtube stiffness to maintain the pro-level responsiveness Caledonia is known for. You can still fit large tyres (36mm) in there, and every bike comes with fender mounts.
Like all Cervelos, the Caledonia-5 is UCI approved and carries a lifetime warranty. Cervelo makes race bikes, and they make them to last.
All Cervelo bikes are aero bikes. When you are on long rides, you will appreciate the free speed. The completely internal housing and aero tube shapes team up to help you do battle against the wind.
The Caledonia-5 is meant for all-day riding, high-pace group rides, and routes featuring less-than-ideal tarmac. Cervelo kept all the good stuff, but made some key improvements. The bearing caps are now split so you can swap between the high and low bearing cap without bleeding the brakes if you need to make a fit change.
The Red AXS build comes with the all-new Hammerhead Karoo. The Karoo is the perfect companion for long rides, allowing you to pick your preferred route surface (road, gravel) as you explore the limits of a good idea.
Developed and tested using Turbulent Aero technology, the Reserve 42|49 wheelset is designed for everything you do, providing all-day capability with aerodynamic sensibilities. Raced at events as varied as the Paris-Roubaix and the Giro D’Italia, the 42|49 wheels have a lifetime warranty supported by a no-fault crash replacement.
Turbulent Aero is a unique R&D program that leverages real world wind data to create the most rapid, stable, and best handling wheels in real world riding conditions.
